Yes, the high resolution feature definitely makes Vimeo a good choice. In fact, that reason along encouraged Freddy to use that for his main video on this AtomicTango site. Though he still likes the VideoPress, he needed the high resolution for his home page video.

Yes, UniqueThink definitely stresses that clients need to add new content on a regular basis.

In fact, we give them solutions to do so. For instance, the one thing I like to state to every client is “When you get a phone call or an email and someone asks you a question you have been asked repeatedly, write a post about it!”

You can set up a FAQ category on your blog and each time a Frequently Asked Question is brought up, simply write a quick post explaining the answer for everyone. It not only helps you to add content, you can also point to it, the next time someone asks the same question.

When I do the live presentation of this Slideshow’s WordPress Workshop, I definitely talk about Fresh, Relevant, Original Content, which is also mentioned in the slides, themselves.

Thanks for the notes, you are right on with your comments. As mentioned earlier, I agree and will repeat is again: it is important to add Fresh, Relevant, Original content frequently.

However, Wordpress.com also is a well populated site and the videos are hosted through their site and brought in to your self-hosted site, so you also get the extra exposure in their large community.

I think this is why they’re falling out of favor. The quality of content is generally low. I’m afraid something similar is on the way with HubPages as people are looking up things like holiday makeup, and getting a five page sermon on something irrelevant.

The way out of this problem is for articles to have to pass review in order to go live. It means more work, and maybe enlisting some moderators, but it would work. They’d become a credible source of information.

Another solution would be suggested wikis, where members who notice a lense is low on relevancy could make recommendations that the lense owner could approve or veto.
